Field projects can accumulate many valuable photos during early data collection. These photos should remain stored in QFieldCloud, but workers joining at a later stage may not need them.

For example, a project may be 1 GB, with 950 MB consisting of historical photos. Downloading the complete attachment archive increases download time, mobile-data use, and device storage requirements.

As a first step, please provide an option to exclude existing attachment folders from the initial project download while continuing to upload newly collected photos to QFieldCloud.

Ideally, QField could later show that an attachment is available in the cloud and allow the user to download an individual attachment, a selected folder, or all attachments when needed.

A previous attachment sync request was marked as completed, but QFieldSync 4.22.3 does not show these selective or on-demand download options.
